A brief recollection of a meeting in our Library on August the 2nd, 2023:
We had a great pleasure to host a group of true enthusiasts of music of the Two Regameys: Konstanty Regamey junior and Konstanty Kazimierz Rudolfowicz Régamey senior.
Jerzy Stankiewicz (the first figure from the right on the photo) is a researcher, musicologists, who has constantly and patiently run his huge work to trace very dramatic details of their life and find sheet music that seemmed to be lost.
The second from the right, talking to Mr ,Stankiewicz is Robert Koller, a baritone singer from Switzerland, who sung quite a lot of music of those two composers and right now was visiting Poland to perform and record The Persian Songs, Three Songs of Clown and other songs composed by Konstanty and Konstanty Kazimierz.
The first from the left the famous Ewa Guziołek is sitting and smiling. She has done fantastic work at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio - in recent days and for many years.
Dominika Peszko, the pianist, joined us a little bit later. It was a fantastic evening, with warm discussions about the Regameys and common European history and culture. We wish very much we could meet again. (Iz.)
