Tadeusz Wielecki’s album was published by the Polish Composers’ Union in collaboration with the Polish Radio in 2013, as part of series I of the project entitled “Polish music today - portraits of contemporary Polish composers”. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the ‘Musical Footprint’ programme, as many as 10 monographic audio compact discs were then produced, dedicated to the works of composers of different generations, living and working in Poland and abroad: Zbigniew Penherski, Lidia Zielińska, Magdalena Długosz, Tadeusz Wielecki, Anna Zawadzka-Gołosz, Jacek Grudzień, Jarosław Siwiński, Michał Talma-Sutt, Ewa Trębacz and Aleksander Kościów. In fact, this was to be just the beginning of a long-term venture, but fate took a different turn... It took as many as six years to gain another grant to complete in 2019 much modest Series II, which consist of four CDs, with music by Jan Krenz, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil and Jerzy Kornowicz. Those ones were followed later by projects dedicated to Roman Berger, Roman Maciejewski and two Regameys. Those new productions were, however, different in many repects... And this should be another story, written in different place.
Here we make available the booklet of Tadeusz Wielecki's album. It was created over ten years ago. The composer continues on his creative path and certainly, to have a more complete picture, one should follow more recent statements and commentaries. However, certainly the trace of a certain state of Tadeusz's musical personality, as he managed to capture it in the frame with his own proper tools, Krzysztof Szwajgier, the author of the essay, remains an interesting image - reflected, as always, by any text commenting on any reality, whatever it may be....
