Thanks to support from the Ministry of Education and Science awarded under the “Social Responsibility of Science II” program, the ZKP ResearchLibrary, together with a team of experts, is implementing the project “Józef Koffler - Lviv and European composer”.

A website is being created to tell the story of the dramatic fate and rich activity of Józef Koffler - composer and publicist. The texts in a form accessible to all Internet users are being prepared by musicologists Dr. Iwona Lindstedt, Prof. UW (from the Institute of Musicology, UW) and Dr. Michał Piekarski from the History of Education and Anthropology of Culture Research Unit of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The site is scheduled to open next March. We want to combine it with a concert, but this should be a surprise, about which we will write more in some time later.

And right now, next Tuesday, we encourage you to visit the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where our experts will talk about the latest sensational discoveries. The meeting will be held as part of the Conversations of the Department of Musicology of the Institute, open to the public, on November 19, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Sobieski Room of the Institute of Art (building at 26 Długa Street in Warsaw) and will be titled “New Sources for the Biography and Works of Józef Koffler.” You are cordially invited!
