As many as two events will take place in September, organised by our Library as accompanying events to the International Festival of Contemporary Music ‘Warsaw Autumn’:

On September 21 (exceptionally on Saturday, not on Friday, so as not to fight for the audience with the fraternal Polish Society for Contemporary Music, which will have on Friday its important and very interesting anniversary event at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Science) we cordially invite you to the meeting, which Krzysztof Knittel will be the star.

Then, on September 27 (Friday), together with Dr. Marietta Morawska, we will, for the first time, publicly present the effect of her long-term project entitled ‘The Soul of Sounds’.

We are organising the meeting with Krzysztof Knittel together with the PWM Edition, and it will also be a promotion of the book ‘The Borders of Nothing’, which - thanks to the cooperation of the Composer and Michał Mendyk - will soon enrich the PWM series entitled ‘People of the Music World’. The PWM Edition announces that the book will be available for sale on September 19th!

Both authors – well-known and respected figures, often surprising and interesting at the same time – will be present at the meeting. Michał Mendyk will lead a conversation with Krzysztof Knittel, who is also preparing to present examples of his work live. So we prepare the equipment, plan the menu and warmly invite both the ‘Warsaw Autumn’ audience and other professionals, music lovers and people simply interested in new Polish music. We belivee it's going to be a really interesting event.

We are aware that there are many festival events. Together with the ‘Autumn’ office, we tried to find the best possible date and time. We will make sure that those who want to rush to the next festival concert can leave the meeting without embarrassment (if our event does not end on time, we will definitely take a break). For those who want to stay longer, there will be tea, coffee, cookies and – we hope – interesting topics to be discussed.
